October 15, 2009: Finding
the new Rose very bright and refreshing. Full of ruby red
grapefruit, tart raspberries, wild mountain strawberries and lovely
white flower and orange blossom floral notes on the nose. Currently
about .5 grams of residual sugar and still
fermenting along.
October 23, 2009: Pressed the juice off the skins for the Rose yesterday afternoon. It is now fermenting in stainless steel tanks.
October 22, 2009: We
picked and processed the fruit for the 2009 "Spirit of Pinot Noir" Dry
Rose yesterday. The weather was gorgeous and we
had a great time sharing it with some of our dearest friends and
biggest fans. This afternoon we will be pressing the juice off the skins leaving the gorgeous Rose color.
January 2010: Our 2007 Pinot Noir received a 91
Rating from Wine and Spirits Magazine with the
following tasting notes: "This dark and savory pinot leads with scents
of seawrack and plum. With air the aromas grow more exotic: violets,
black earth, the black currant fruit given an earthy bottom note like
turned soil. The richness of the middle palate suggests serving it with duck."
